General Support for DV-165
The DV-189 is a mass storage
device and should be accessible by connecting the camera to your computer using
the included USB cable and a USB port then browsing through "My Computer" and
looking for the "DV" drive.
How to connect your DV-165
-
Turn on your computer or reboot (this ensures
consistent starting point).

Turn on the camera.

At this point you should see a "new hardware
found" window. Wait a few minutes for the system to load the device.

After a few minutes, you should be able to access
your camera through "My Computer" and looking for the "Removable Disk" folder

Files can be dragged and dropped or cut and pasted
from the cameras folder.

are designed to work with Microsoft Windows XP, 98, 2000, Me and 2003 platforms.
Minimum system requirements of Pentium MMX, Celeron or AMD Athlon CPU with 64MB
RAM, CDROM, 500MB free HDD space and Available USB port.

Download drivers using the link above and save the files to a location on your
computer.

Unzip files.

Run Setup.exe and follow directions of the wizard.

Restart your computer.
If this does does not work ...

Check to make sure the USB port is working properly in device manager.

Make sure your computer is running a fully updated version of supported
Microsoft Windows platform. Check computer properties for version of OS.

Try
having the camera turned on before connecting it to your computer.
